This is a production the the Quay Brothers. It is a short stop motion film that doesnt really have a storyline as such but you can tell what is going on by the way the toys in the stop motion interact with each other. The film was heavily influenced by Jan Svankmajor who did such thigs as Alice and Little Otik which I mentioned earlier on in my blog.

I thought that the street of Crocodiles was a very interesting stop motion. I think that it likes to the idea of memory because when you are a child you always imagine that your toys can get up and move around, much like the toys in Toy Story. (I also think that you can see links from this animation to the first Toy Story picture when the Toys are in Sids house, the toys in that scene cloesly resemable some of the toys in this film.) I think that this can bring up alot about memory. I really like the way that this film is shot and I would like to try and do something like this for my memory piece.
